In the embrace of the December sun, the Christy Schippers Foundation orchestrated a symphony of compassion during the End of Year Widows Visitation & Donation Event on 2nd December 2023. Two venues, Kwamoso and Mampong in Akuapem North, Ghana, served as canvases where we painted strokes of hope for widows in need.
At Venue 1, Kwamoso, 80 widows gathered, hearing the National Coordinator’s inspired message of hope from Jeremiah 49:11. Simultaneously, at Venue 2 in Mampong, 66 participants united in a harmonious narrative. The Coordinator’s message of a prosperous future left an indelible mark on their spirits, fostering hope beyond the event and creating a lasting impact.
Our gathering was a congregation of strength and vulnerability, as widows facing various challenges united in their common need for support. Each attendee’s story became a thread in the fabric of our collective commitment to compassion.
Central to our commitment was the distribution of Freedom Packages. Beyond being assortments of food items, these packages were tangible expressions of love and care, weaving a bridge between our community and theirs.
The crescendo of the event was the heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the widows. Their voices, a chorus of appreciation, filled the air as they thanked the Founder, associates, and all contributors. Their prayers for blessings echoed a profound sense of shared humanity.
As the sun set on this remarkable day, we reflect on the warmth and hope shared.
