Christy Schippers Foundation celebrates Easter with widows in the Akwapem North Municipal

Being inspired by that fact that in every society the well-being of others has a direct effect on the peace of all, the Christy Schippers Foundation led by the Founder, Christy Schippers, continually seeks to facilitate in advancement of the welfare of others.

With this passion, the Christy Schippers Foundation has embarked on several charity projects and programmes already. The second mega charity event the Foundation has organized this year is an event to celebrate the 2023 Easter with about 150 widows in the Akwapem North Municipal in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

On April 15, 2023, the Christy Schippers Foundation mobilized about 132 widows and 2 widowers in a service at Akwapem-Mampong. The service sought to demonstrate the presence of the Holy One Jesus in our midst. The National Coordinator’s message and the message of the Founder all sought to inspire hope and confidence in the troubled and somewhat depressed widows and associates with emphasis on the theme, “You Are Not Alone”. The Lord who died and resurrected on the third day by which the easter was in commemoration has risen, He is alive and He is with all. The message was preached with power that “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1. Also “He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing.” Deuteronomy 10:18

Prayers were said and songs were ministered to facilitate the connection of the spiritual needs of the widows to the Spirit of God.

The widows and associates responded to the preaching, the Founder’s Message and the ministrations with joy. The attitude of the widows and associates during the ministrations elicited an express relieve of their burden and inner heaviness. Some widows expressed their joy and relieve through singing, dancing and verbal affirmation.

To climax the celebration, all the widows and associates who attended the event were given assorted food items in packages known as the Confidence Package. All received with joy and expressed gratitude to God, the Christy Schippers Foundation, all partners and volunteers. All the beneficiaries rained blessings on the benefactors.

It was heart-warming seeing the confidence which the beneficiaries demonstrated in brief interviews after the programme. They gladly received the packages and prayed for the longevity of the Christy Schippers Foundation, all team members and partners.

To God be the Glory!
